Tips for the trip:
The Mongaup Rapids, formed by the additional flow of the Mongaup River entering the Delaware River, create an exhilarating series of rapids that are the best on the Delaware River. Be sure to stay to the far left just before entering the Hawk’s Nest region to catch the standing waves at Butler’s. This short stretch of rapids is guaranteed to thrill you! As you navigate under the Millrift Railroad Bridge, also known locally as the #2 Railroad Bridge (once used by the Erie Railroad), enjoy the ride. After about one more mile, you’ll find our landing on the right, marking the end of your adventure.
