Cancellation Policy
Cabins
Guests receive a refund if cancellations – whether full, partial, or rescheduling – are made at least 3 weeks prior to the reservation check-in. Late cancellations will result in the forfieture of the deposit.
Camping
Guests receive a refund if cancellations – whether full, partial, or rescheduling – are made at least 2 weeks prior to the reservation check-in. Late cancellations will result in the forfieture of the deposit.
River Trip
Guests receive a refund if cancellations – whether full, partial, or rescheduling – are made at least 1 week prior to the reservation check-in. Late cancellations will result in the forfeiture of the deposit.
Weather Flex
At Indian Head Canoes & Rafts, we proudly operate rain or shine. In fact, many of our guests discover that a light summer rain can make for a refreshing and memorable day on the beautiful Delaware River.
Occasionally, however, weather or river conditions may be more than just a passing shower and are expected to significantly diminish the overall guest experience. In those situations, Indian Head Canoes may activate the Weather Flex Program.
Rescheduling
When the Weather Flex Program has been activated, eligible guests may reschedule their reservation to another available date or time, subject to availability.
- Weather Flex dates are valid through June 15 of the following operating season.
- The rescheduled reservation must include the same or a greater number of guests as the original reservation. If fewer guests attend, the standard Cancellation Policy will apply to the canceled guests.
- Once a reservation has been rescheduled under the Weather Flex Program, the Weather Flex date is considered final. If the guest later cancels the rescheduled reservation, the standard Cancellation Policy will apply regardless of the amount of advance notice provided. This policy is necessary because the original reservation has already received a one-time Weather Flex accommodation.
- Guests who wish to take advantage of the Weather Flex Program must notify Indian Head Canoes at least one hour prior to their scheduled departure time. Guests who do not request a Weather Flex date by that time are considered to have accepted their original reservation.
- Weather Flex dates are non-transferable, have no cash value, and may be used one time only.
Final Authority
Indian Head Canoes reserves the exclusive right to determine whether the Weather Flex Program will be activated and for which departure times it applies. Weather forecasts from third-party websites, mobile applications, or other weather services do not determine eligibility for the Weather Flex Program. All Weather Flex decisions are based on Indian Head Canoes’ evaluation of current and forecasted weather conditions, radar, river conditions, operational considerations, and the anticipated impact on the overall guest experience.
