The best trip on the Upper Delaware. This 6-mile river trip has the most exciting whitewater on the river. Kids and adults of all ages can enjoy a good splash! Some paddling experience in kayaks and canoes recommended.
The first set of rapids you’ll encounter are called the Mongaup Rapids, created by the extra water flow of the Mongaup River letting into the Delaware River. This roller coaster set of rapids is the best on the river.
Gaze at the spectacular scenery as the river winds through the famous Hawk’s Nest area.

Stay far left just before entering the Hawk’s Nest region to catch the standing waves at Butler’s. This short set of rapids are sure to thrill. Ride the waves as you travel under the Millrift Railroad Bridge or locally known as #2 Railroad Bridge, once used for the Erie Railroad. About 1 more mile and you’ll see our landing on the right and your adventure is complete.
