Full day excursion for experienced paddlers. Enjoy Skinners Falls rapids at the beginning of this 18 mile adventure. This set of rapids has large boulders that will challenge your paddling skills. Paddle under the historic Roebling Bridge (dating back to 1849), along the Delaware and Hudson Canal, used in the early 1800’s to transport coal to New York City, and past American author Zane Grey’s house. Some paddling experience recommended.
Get an early start for this trip and pack plenty of water to drink. Toward the end of your trip, after passing under the Roebling Bridge, stay on the middle to left side of the river. Exit the river on the left side, about 1 mile after the bridge.
The most serious paddlers who want an all day paddle. At 7 or more hours, plan to bring plenty of food and water.
